What we do
Foundation Screws NI install foundations using ground screw technology. Our screws are of the highest quality.
With Foundation Screws NI you can be assured of a quality job. We only work with the highest quality ground screws available.
We offer:
- An engineered solution with load bearing tests undertaken as required
- No quibble guarantee on our work
- No mess eco-friendly solution
The Foundation Screws that we use have been developed for heavier load-bearing capacities. Produced according to EN-1090-2 standards and thermally galvanised, the PRO-Series ensures a high load-bearing capacity, with the extra benefit of easy (and quick!) installation in every kind of soil. The perfect solution for temporary as well as permanent constructions eg timber buildings, light guage steel, shipping containers and solar arrangements.
The benefits:
- Less expensive than concrete
- Speed of installation
- No mess, no skips
- Eco-friendly – a low CO2 alternative to concrete
- An engineered solution
- Site access not an issue
- Can easily deal with slopes and uneven terrain
- Ideal for a temporary structure as the site can be returned to its pristine condition
- No maintenance needed (long lifespan)
- Quickly installed (even in winter)
Ground Screws: The Smarter Foundation for Solar
Whether you’re building a small solar array or a large-scale solar park, ground screws provide a solid foundation that saves time, reduces costs, and supports long-term performance.
Environmental
At Foundation Screws NI we take our environmental responsibilities seriously. Our foundation system is helping drive down carbon emissions against conventional methods.
Concrete is now the second most consumed substance on Earth after water. On average, each year 3 tonnes of concrete is consumed for every person on the planet, with 10% of all global carbon emissions as a consequence of cement production.
Environmental Impact example:
– 1.25 tonnes of embedded carbon per tonne of cement
– 1.8 tonnes of embedded carbon per tonne of steel
If we take a simple 4m x 5m plot and create foundations:
A conventional concrete base would use –
– Minimum of 1 tonne of cement producing 1.25 tonnes of embedded carbon
– Or 20 ground screws weighing 8.9kg producing only 320.4kg
Health & Safety
We are committed to the wellbeing of our staff and clients using stringent health & safety protocols in all areas of our business. We carry out underground services and utilities searches, coupled with on-site inspections to guarantee the highest safety standards. All our staff are highly trained and carry CSCS.
What Our Clients Say?
Here are just a few of the kind words our customers have left us...
“With the help of Wilfie White and his ground screws, I have finally got the car port under way. Still very impressed with the installation and how quick and clean they are. Thanks Wilfie.”
K Hughes
“We are delighted with the ground screws the guys have fitted for our new decking area. By using Ground screws compared to the traditional method of decking construction where timber support posts are concreted into the ground, our timber decking supports will never rot. Fantastic Work!”
L Dempsey
“Much cheaper and faster alternative to digging out foundations and concreting a base for my garden room where space was limited. Very professional job, would thoroughly recommend Wilfie and team.”
